Teacher Listing Requirements
MBSR TEACHERS
We welcome Mindfulness-Bases Stress Reduction (MBSR) teachers who have been Qualified or Certified by teacher training organizations that align with the International Mindfulness Integrity Network (IMIN). This network includes trusted pioneers in the field and longstanding senior faculty from around the world who have worked collaboratively for many years in the effort to develop standards of good practice, in a sector that is largely unregulated and in flux, following the intense public interest of recent decades. These institutions include those which have developed the large bodies of evidenced-based research.
In the United States, these are:
The Mindfulness Teacher Training Alliance is a network of Teacher Trainers in the US who have been certified to train teachers by the Mindfulness Center at Brown School of Public Health and by the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care and Society, University of Massachusetts Medical School. The provide recognized professional training for MBSR teachers.
The Mindfulness Center at Brown School of Public Health in Providence, RI, and on-line. (Note: we understand that Brown has recently evolved their teacher training path. We understand “Qualified” to include L1 and L2 within the Brown system of training).
UC San Diego Mindfulness-Based Professional Training Institute in San Diego, CA and on-line.
The Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care and Society, University of Massachusetts Medical School. This where the seminal 8-week program began and where teacher training happened for a several decades. Currently the Center is offering MBSR to the public, but is no longer offering teacher training.

MBCT TEACHERS
We welcome qualified and certified MBSR teachers who have also trained to teach Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) with teacher training organizations that align with the International Mindfulness Integrity Network and that apply the MBCT Training Pathways guidelines developed by the inceptors of the program. MSC TEACHERS
We welcome qualified and certified MBSR teachers who have also trained to teach MSC (Mindful Self-Compassion) with recognized teacher training organization. In North America this includes:

Center for Mindfulness Studies, Toronto (Canada)

BREATHWORKS TEACHERS
We welcome qualified and certified MBSR teachers who have also trained to teach the Breathworks programs Mindfulness for Health (Mindfulness for Pain Management) and Mindfulness for Stress. Teachers must be accredited by Breathworks, which is a member of BAMBA (British Association for Mindfulness-based Approaches) and aligns with the International Mindfulness Integrity Network.
