Mindfulness for Resilience: Avoiding burnout while fighting for justice
September 12th – October 17th, 2022
Monday Evenings
6:30-8:15 PM ET
Online via Zoom

Mindfulness helps you relate differently to the stresses and underlying traumas in your life and offers the opportunity to cultivate resilience and emotional intelligence. Applied by champions of social change and social justice, it supports our mental wellbeing and ability to stay nourished and resourced in the face of challenges.
This 6-week course is suited for those coming to meditation for the first time or for experienced meditators / contemplatives who would like support in integrating these practices more fully into their engaged lives.
We will lead periods of meditation, mindful movement, and inquiry/discussion as a way of exploring the habits of the mind, discovering how these patterns of reactivity become a major cause of stress and where we could intervene to change them. You will learn to alter your relationship with each moment of your life and so derive more joy, fulfilment, and meaning. The course is experiential: by paying attention to what arises in daily life and class practice, and through exploring responses to challenges, a supportive and safe container is created for you to feel connected and be inspired. Participants are supported by recorded guided meditations.

Tuition: Sliding scale $120 - $240
